Canadian Bloggers @ Heifer, International . . . .

Some of you may know that I do some guest-blogging over at The Galloping Beaver.

One of the regulars, Dana, suggested and opened an account with Heifer, International to assist struggling people in under-privileged areas.

Check it out here, and please consider giving a gift of sustenance this year rather than the usual materialistic trinkets that no one really needs anyway. And yes, it is tax deductible for those of you for which that makes a difference.

Personally, I contributed in the Goat category.

Probably because I'm getting to be an old one. :)

There. Off my soapbox.

Temporarily, at least . . . .

Heifer does great job. There's nothing more important than providing a long-term solution to income for people who live under proverty.

Way to go!

We donated a flock of chickens. I don't know why particularly, but I do know that chickens turn into highly productive critters.

I checked out Heifer on the charity governance sites and they have one of the highest donation to action ratios of any overseas group.

Thanks for the charity rating, Dave. I was wondering about that.

I did the shares of a goat.

Hope we get a good response . . . .

Soapbox away! I love that org. Last year 6YO really liked the idea that he was giving grandma and grandpa some chicks!
