McClatchy reports:
Gay marriage legal in California, court declares
By Crystal Carreon and Bill Lindelof | Sacramento Bee
SAN FRANCISCO - A deeply divided California Supreme Court legalized gay marriage in an opinion issued Thursday morning.
Wild cheers echoed throughout City Hall and other spots where proponents had gathered Thursday morning awaiting the opinion, which came on a 4-3 vote.
The case stems from challenges to state law by gay couples who were married in ceremonies at San Francisco City Hall in 2004, when Mayor Gavin Newsom began issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
'Bout time . . . .

Of course, this won't stop the psychos to try to revert the law, but I strongly hope this is the domino piece to set of the momentum for the others.
What a great step.
Yes, I already heard that the "psychos" are looking to get something on the November ballot in CA to override this decision and change the state constitution for good. I just wish they would focus on the poor and hungry in their own community, that could actually use their help, instead of focusing on discrimination!
Some folks actually think that I'll have regrets about moving to Canada because of this. I'm tired, tired, tired. It's only one state and that fight's not over. And there are SO many other issues ... Canada, here we come ...
Yup, the "psychos" have us all saying "Canada here we come . . . . "
Slowely but surely. It's like chipping away at a mountain!
