It will be interesting to see the crowd estimates for this year's Polar Bear Plunge into English Bay. Under sunny skies and a "balmy" 3 degrees, the crowd was HUGE.

Wow, that is jammed, way busier than when I was there a couple of years ago. Looks like fun!
The plunge of '09 there was snow and ice on the ground - is that the one you attended, Brahm? Brrrrrr! Wasn't much warmer at this one, but the weather was much more pleasant which reflected the major increase in crowd size, no doubt . . . .
the crowd in Hamilton was nowhere near as big and it was warmer here. Did you go in Bob?

Shrinkage was evident due to the "frigid" temps (by Vancouver standards) in the crowd without even going into the water . . . .
