The last country to present at this year's HSBC Celebration of light was China on Wednesday night.
As has been the case in previous years, we were underwhelmed with their show. Other than the opening sequence - which gave us hope for a great show - and the ending finale, the performance was rather dull. (That sounds bad, doesn't it? Fireworks being "dull"? Guess we are getting jaded!)
With all countries having their time at bat, "drf" and I vote for the US show last Saturday night.
Tomorrow night we'll check out the finale with all three countries participating, plus a salute to British Columbia's 150th anniversary. Also, the winner is announced.
Oh, Sunday is the huge Gay Pride parade, also. So much goin' on in August!
More as it happens . . . .
